The College has a ten year mental health strategy called Recovering Ordinary Lives 2007-2017

Recovering Ordinary Lives provides three valuable documents about mental health and occupational therapy:

• A vision for the next ten years clearly describes key messages for the profession and others to work towards to improve mental health services.
• Results from service user and carer focus groups gives important information about what people who have received OTs services feel about its quality.
• The literature review provides definitions, a policy context and a summary of the some of the challenges for the OT profession.

The mental health strategy developed from the Department of Health New Ways of Working initiative.
