The College of Occupational Therapists (COT) has relaunched its ‘Corporate Friends’ scheme for 2009
The College now recognises companies and organisations that are its strongest suppporters in three categories: Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Our Corporate Friends scheme recognises companies and organisations that invest financially in the College. It is a new way of rewarding and recognising those who stay loyal to the College in terms of their annual spend with an extra marketing tool that will allow them to show to occupational therapists that they understand the strong mutual benefit in close working relationships with the profession. It will no longer be paid for by subscription as in the past.
Whatever level a company qualifies for they will be able to use the COT Corporate Friends logo of the applicable category for their marketing purposes for the calendar year in question. The College has designed the new scheme as a goodwill tool that will allow organisations to be recognised and gain exposure within the OT marketplace through COT channels such as Occupational Therapy News, The British Journal of Occupational Therapy and our annual conference.
The scheme year now runs from the 1 October each year which matches the BAOT/COT financial year. The Corporate Friends scheme is operated retrospectively and awards are therefore judged on the spend from the previous financial year with all departments of COT.
Here at the College, we are always looking to develop closer working partnerships with organisations in the commercial and educational sector in order to progress a number of key objectives and we regard the input and ideas of our Corporate Friends as being very important in achieving these.
