BAOT/COT is committed to complying with Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at AA level

This website is built using Drupal 7 content management system because it supports accessibility in compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. WCAG 2 specifies 12 guidlines organised under four principles: 

1. perceivable
2. operable
3. understandable
4. robust

There are tests for all four of these principles. Tests grade accessibility at three levels: AAA, AA and A. This website is WCAG 2.0 AA compliant. Visit the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) for more information on WCAG 2.0.

The colour contrasts, font styles and font sizes on this site have been chosen to ensure content is accessible to people with impaired vision. Other measures we have taken to increase accessibility include:

• using meaningful ALT text for all images to provide descriptive text
• using descriptive hyperlink text
• avoiding the use of frames

Access keys make navigating the site easier for those who find a mouse or keyboard difficult to use. In most browsers pressing Ctrl and + will increase font size while pressing Ctrl and - will decrease font size.

• Internet explorer: Alt + access key
• Chrome: Alt + access keyon Windows and Linux; Ctrl + Opt + access key on Mac
• Firefox 2, 3 & 4: Alt + Shift + access key on Windows and Linux; Ctrl + access key on Mac
• Opera: Shift + Esc + access key
• Safari 3: Ctrl + access key on Mac; Alt + access key on Windows
• Safari 4 and higher Ctrl + Opt + access key on Mac; Alt + access key on Windows
