We promote best practice in occupational therapy within the specialty of trauma, orthopaedics, and rehabilitation of amputees
COT Specialist Section - Trauma and Orthopaedics provides a forum for occupational therapists and occupational therapy staff that have an interest in upper and lower limb prosthetics and rehabilitation.
We work closely with other related organisations and professionals with a similar interest. We share and exchange knowledge, skills and ideas and provide access to resource material to promote research and evidence-based practice - find out more about our current research projects.

Occupational Therapy for adults undergoing total hip replacement
The consultation on the draft practice guideline, ‘Occupational therapy for adults undergoing total hip replacement’ closed on 18th May 2012. The draft guideline will be revised in response to feedback from external reviewers, stakeholders and BAOT members prior to submission to the COT Practice Publications Group.
Publication is scheduled for November 2012.
