BAOT member benefits: Mentorship
Last year the College launched a mentorship scheme for members, pairing up those who are looking for support in their practice with those who feel they can share their expertise and help their fellow OTs. So this year, why not make the most of your membership through mentorship?
This voluntary mentorship scheme offers great benefits to both parties, giving an opportunity to share skills, experience and knowledge with one another. Mentorship also offers a great opportunity to develop communication skills, expand viewpoints and consider new ways of approaching situations.
This voluntary scheme has already developed a growing bank of mentors, with a recent course for mentors attracting over 30 participants keen to help other OTs.
So whether you are moving to a new area of practice, looking for a sounding board or more indepth guidance, why not register with our mentorship scheme and get a helping hand from fellow members.
Alternatively, if you think you can help your fellow members, find out more about becoming a mentor and the benefits it can have to your own practice.
