Scottish Board & Policy Officer

The Scottish Board advises Council on issues relating to membership and policy in Scotland

The Board was set up to advise and support BAOT/COT following the passing of the Scotland Act under which the new Scottish Parliament gained devolved law making powers.The Board meets four times a year and in addition to the general roles and responsibilities of Country Boards it advises Council and officers on matters devolved to Scottish Government e.g. health and social care legislation and policy.
 
The Board contributes a Scotland perspective to priority setting, planning, implementation and review of progress of BAOT/COT's Business Plan and writes an annual Scottish Board Operational Plan which supports the Business Plan.
