To support the continuing professional development and re-registration of its members, the College has developed a database of formal learning opportunities to enable them to identify formal learning opportunities relevant to their role. Members can search by title (if known), key words, level of study, location and style of learning. Search results will provide the user with a brief description of each formal learning opportunity, the learning outcomes and contact details for the provider.
Formal learning opportunities endorsed by the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) have undergone a quality assurance process and are likely to meet an identified training need and will include a form of assessment.
Formal learning opportunities commissioned/recommended by COT have been jointly developed by the College with the provider. Other formal learning opportunities are not quality assured by COT, although the entry will have been monitored prior to inclusion. We therefore cannot be held responsible for the quality of these formal learning opportunities.

Queen Margaret University College
There are a range of delivery patterns emphasising flexibility through block attendance, weekly sessions, off-site study. Modules are spread over fifteen week semesters. All modules adopt the strategy of relating the academic work to the work place and therapists’ professional experience. This includes a range of activities while on campus and self-directed study when learning off site. Blocks of time, whether solid weeks or days or sessions, maximise the interaction between both environments. Each module requires notional student effort of 150 hours.
