The BAOT/COT is closely involved with the work Occupational Therapists around the globe to help the promotion and development of occupational therapy worldwide. In particular the BAOT/COT work very closely with the following organisations:
- Council of Occupational Therapists for the European Countries (COTEC) and the
- European Network of Occupational Therapy in Higher Education (ENOTHE)
- Volunteering Services Abroad (VSO).
- World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT)
