'We like to see our patients in a home. Their own.'
Extract from the leaflet:
"Suppose you were not able to look after yourself at home without assistance. Shopping, cooking a meal, or even caring for a pet are things most of us do without thinking. But for a person with learning disabilities, they may prove too difficult.
Occupational Therapy can help. We work with adults and children of all abilities by focusing on every aspect of their daily lives.
Our aim is to enable everyone to be as independent as possible. Not just at home, but in social and work environments too.
By looking carefully at each person's needs, a programme of therapy is planned which can include individual and group treatment. Our holistic approach means we can treat people who may have additional physical problems too."
