Highly commended: Chris Davison
Finalist Chris Davison's nomination was something of a family affair, having been put forward by client, Tracy, who has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, her mother Carol and sister-in-law Lilian who both help to care for Tracy.
Chris's unstinting work over nine years has helped to keep Tracy at home with her two young children, against all the odds. She has not only shown patience and understanding to Tracy but as Carol states:
"As a family coping with this terrible disease, we couldn't have coped without Chris." Lilian agrees, "Chris is always willing to sit down and chat things over and at times when I've felt the desire to throw the towel in she has come up with some way of making our lives easier."
