This Occupational Therapy Special Section represents U.K. and overseas occupational therapists working in HIV/AIDS, Oncology, Palliative Care and Education.
The College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section – HIV/AIDS, Oncology & Palliative Care:
- has a committee with designated roles
- enables networking, support, regionally, nationally and internationally
- encourages CPD
- encourages participation in research for undergraduate and postgraduate education
- holds a large collection of relevant references
- produces 3 newsletters a year containing updates on recent events as details of resources and courses
- has produced clinical guidelines, core standards, outcome measures, and publicity material for use locally
- provides a yearbook listing all members by name, region and country
- facilitates national study days and holds an annual conference
- provides representation on national councils and at international conferences/lectures

- the professional committee of The National Council for Hospice and Specialist palliative_care Services
