Eminent medic, Lord Walton of Detchant, appointed President of College of Occupational Therapists
Lord Walton of Detchant, crossbench peer and neurologist has been announced as the College of Occupational Therapists’ new President. John Walton was awarded a life peerage as Lord Walton of Detchant in 1989.
College appoints Professor Sir Mansel Aylward as Vice President
The College of Occupational Therapists is delighted to welcome its new Vice President, Professor Sir Mansel Aylward CB. Professor Sir Mansel Aylward is Chair of Public Health Wales, an NHS Trust set up to provide expert public health information, advice and services across the country. In 2010 Professor Sir Mansel Aylward CB was knighted in the Queen’s New Years Honours for services to health and healthcare. He is a physician and specialist in rheumatology, rehabilitation, therapeutics and clinical pharmacology.
