The deadline for completing the BAOT/COT Membership Survey has been extended until 1 April. Don’t delay and take this final chance to have your say before April Fool’s Day!

All participants will have the chance to enter a prize draw for an iPad2 or one of our training courses.

Julia Scott, COT Chief Executive, said: "This is a must-do for members and a real chance to influence the future work of your professional body.”

Members’ ballot planned as pension negotiations continue

BAOT/COT Council has given UNISON's negotiators the go-ahead to continue pension negotiations on BAOT’s behalf. UNISON are the in the final stages of negotiations on the government’s proposals for NHS pensions, with the heads of agreement to be completed within the next few weeks. A full ballot of UNISON’s membership will consult members on whether they wish to accept or reject the final package, advising members that if they reject they would need to take part in immediate and sustained industrial action.

The delays are due to technical problems with our new membership system and we are working hard to resolve this matter. We do value your membership very highly, so please be patient during this difficult time.

Insurance Summary for BAOT Members 2012

Insurance benefits include professional indemnity, professional liability and product liability insurance up to a limit of £5 million for any one claim. This covers you for claims first made in the UK or the EU. Professional indemnity covers any error, omissions or negligence.

Renewing your BAOT membership is worth it now more than ever

Renewal forms will be sent out to all existing BAOT members by the end of September in time for the renewal process which begins on 1 October 2011. If you pay for your BAOT membership by Direct Debit you don't need to do anything because your membership will be automatically renewed, unless you notify us otherwise.
