Mental Health Awareness Week 2012

It is Mental Health Awareness week (21-27 May), with a theme of 'Doing Good, Does You Good', based around the idea that doing good things for others can reduce stress, improve your emotional wellbeing and even benefit your physical health.

A Life More Ordinary: findings from the Long-Term Neurological Conditions Research Initiative published

A Life More Ordinary ‘provides a summary of the main findings from the Long-term Neurological Conditions Research Initiative (LTNC RI). The Initiative was funded by the Department of Health's Policy Research Programme (DH PRP) in 2006, following the launch of the DH National Service Framework (NSF) in 2005.’ (Winchcombe 2012 p9).

List of cognitive assessments currently used by occupational therapists which has been compiled by Brain Injury Forum and is referred to in COT briefing on the role of the occupational therapist in the assessment and rehabilitation of cognitive difficulties for people with ABI.

Free publications for COT Annual Conference delegates
